The Studio fee structure has moved away from a per hour model, to a more holistic studio subscription/ tuition model. This change is intended to offer a more predictable and structured approach to learning and teaching, and will respond even more appropriately to the requirements of each student as students pay the same tuition fee per month.
We offer a number of lesson models designed to meet the varying needs of students. These are will be set at the beginning of the studio year. In general, there are three groupings:
- Annual plans of weekly or biweekly lessons (30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration)
- Packages of lessons (five or ten lesson packages of 30, 45 or 60 minutes are standard, these can be customized)
- Individual lessons (30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration)
Annual Plans
There are two Annual Plan programs which offer a total of 36 or 18 lessons within the 42 calendar weeks of September to June (these replace the weekly and biweekly plans). There are standard weeks with no formal lessons offered (for example, over the Winter Break and usually over the March school break). Additional open weeks are scheduled and will be available for makeup lessons (please see our Studio Policies page for details) or for additional lessons that can be added to the Annual Plans.
Fees for the Annual Plans are calculated dependent on duration and frequency, and paid on a monthly basis at the first of each month (from September to June - ten months - updated for the 2023-24 Lesson Term) per the following chart:

Annual plans offer a number of benefits, including reduced overall costs, priority scheduling, and enhanced continuity of instruction.
Lesson Packages
For those who desire more flexibility, lesson packages are also offered in groups of ten or five. The fees for these packages, shown in the following chart, are due prior to the first lesson of the package. Additional packages can be added during the year.
